WGUK 2010 - Information regarding the forthcoming season

With the 2010 WGUK just around the corner here are a few bit of information about changes and enhancements to the circuit:

~ Registration will be available on-line only from Monday 5th October and organisations will be invoiced for their membership fees approx 24 hours following their registration.

~ The Cadet Class judging sheets have been updated to bring them more in line with the other 3 classes

~ Following consultation with the membership over the summer, the order of performance at contests will be determined as follows:
- January - by the order in which confirmed registrations are received
- February - by random draw which will be carried out at the MPAUK AGM in December
- March - seeded by using the previous two scores
- Open Prelims + Cadet, Junior and A Finals - seeded by using the previous two scores
- Junior and A Class Playoffs - random draw after Finals results announced
- Open Finals - seeded using the Prelims scores only

~ Whilst every attempt will be made to ensure every contest has a full panel of 5 judges if this is not possible at any particular contest then the scores from the other judges will be added and averaged to still give a score out of 100

~ The contest on Sunday 28th February will be the 2010 UK Regional and one of the features of the day will a Spintastic "Master Class" plus enhanced Critique time for the Open Class units

~ WGUK and Indoor Percussion Europe (IPE) will be working in partnership on at least 2 UK based percussion events in 2010 including the IPE Championships in April - more details available soon

So as you can see there has been plenty going on during the summer to make the 2010 WGUK season another memorable and exciting year.
