Update from the WGUK Judging community...

2012 looks to be an exciting year for the WinterGuard United Kingdom Judging community. To date we have 20 potential judges either registered or undertaking training in preparation for the forthcoming season, this is the most we have had for a number of years. Following on from the way forward initiative we will still be continuing with the unique idea of using instructor judges throughout the season (a very successful part of the programme in attracting staff members to the 'dark side'). The new training and use of senior instructors from across the activity continues to provide additional capacity to the judging community, improves communication, builds mutual respect and will hopefully encourage some to become full time judges in future. We are also pleased to announce that there are 6 new people undertaking training in preparation for the forthcoming season.

Once again in 2012 we are being supported with Judges from mainland Europe and the United States.  As previously publicised, Adam Sage is facilitating the November judges/instructor training day and will also be in the UK to support the Judges on the opening weekend of the season in Bristol.
